To celebrate CT Open House Day the Hebron Historical Society invites you to visit these two unique and important properties.

Burrows Hill School (125 School House Rd.) is Hebron’s earliest remaining schoolhouse and located on its original location. In service before the French and Indian War, this schoolhouse, with vaulted ceiling, retains the original desks and blackboards. Peek into the two room outhouse.
Paintings of the school from collections of the Historical Society and the Douglas Library Association of Hebron will be on view.

The Old Hebron Cemetery on Wall St., docents will be on site sharing information about recent gravestone repairs and ground improvements.

A great opportunity to learn some little known pieces of our local history and the continuing efforts to preserve Hebron’s history.
